Clonmel Applefestwill host its 6th Harvest Fair on the 28th September. Since its inception in 2018, this very popular event has become one of the main attraction of the festival which offers a day-long opportunity to engage informally with a variety of arts and craft activities as well socialising with people from all walks of life in a convivial atmosphere sharing tables for food and partaking in collective activities such as juice making or circle dancing.

This year will include artists doing pottery, basket making, felting as well as spinning wool, weaving and knot-making on a collective loom, willow weaving and building a harvest mandala with seasonal plants and vegetables. The event will also include a specially commissioned JUICE DANCE by the Instant Dissidence dance company, and music by Uproar Rock Choir and our Band in residence.

Most activities are specifically aimed to enable engagement at varied entry and experience levels. The aim is to facilitate creative participation by adults and children to seamlessly engage in these activities without consideration of age, background and nationality thanks to the expert skills and professionalism of the facilitating artists, which include Katie Nolan (weaving), Patsy Cahill (basketry), Gerardine Wisdom (rish works), Eileen Singleton (pottery), Grainne Zannis (felt), altar building (Elke Wilson) and Lucy Moore (textile dying).

A selection of quality foodtrucks and sit down tables will be available throughout the day and community stands will also be attending including Dragon Paddlers, Suircan Environmental Forum, Clonmel Repair Café.

The event will take place at Kickham Plaza in the heart of the town and activities are on a first come, first served basis.
