This new work by printmaker Aoife Barrett comprises 8 tablemats which were created in response to site visits and conversations with seven local food producers and Clonmel Applefest over the course of a three-months long residency.
The project stemmed from Aoife's interest in learning more about how food is linked to family and communal practices and how the act of eating brings people together. The installation uses the medium of traditional printmaking, as well as exploring papermaking and embedded printing techniques. The exhibit will be on display amongst the Museum collection until the 22nd October.
