Tipperary Food Printmaker’s Residency

Applefest Projects

Clonmel Applefest is delighted to announce its collaboration with 7 Tipperary Food producers who will host printmaker Aoife Barrett for a 3-day residency each during the months June to August 2022. The Residencies will culminate in a joint public event on Saturday 3rd September in Clonmel’s Mick Delahunty square in partnership with Tipperary Museum during which Aoife will present her work and engage in participatory printmaking with members of the public. A photo exhibition of the residency will be on display in the Tipperary Museum’s lobby; food from the Tipperary Food Producers network will accompany the occasion. This project is funded by an Arts Council of Ireland FIS grant.

The 7 producers involved are: Blackcastle Farm, Cashel Farmhouse cheeses, Galtee Honey, The Apple Farm, O’Donnell’s Crisps, Irish Hedgerow cordials and Magner’s Farm.

We hope that our collaboration will be enriching as well as raising each partner‘s profile and that of the network as a whole. Each producer will receive a Bespoke artist’s response. A full page Zine /newssheet of the overall residency will be produced for public dissemination.
