Cruinniu na nOg
Creative Ireland
Tipperary Coco

Cruinniú na nÓg is a flagship initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme’s Creative Youth Plan to enable the creative potential of children and young people. This year, it will take place on Saturday 7th June at Kickham Plaza with an Junior (4-12) programme from 12 to 4pm and a senior (13-18) programme from 4 to 8pm.

We propose to take over most of Kickham Plaza to create a large open space for children’s arts activities and performances. This is aimed at younger children and their families (up to 13) for the earlier part of the day, with a later strand for teenagers (13+) after 4pm with an emphasis on participation and encounters based on equality, fun, doing together and having an enjoyable experience.

We have selected five complementary arts activities as well as a selection of performance styles ranging from marching bands to trad and hip hop, songwriting, orchestral music and rock bands to cater for many tastes and interests. This will offer a broad view of the many performers active in South Tipperary and afford a unique opportunity for celebration and parity between all artforms and performance styles.
